The other day as I was browsing the book section at Wal-Mart a cookbook jumped off the shelf at me, Hungry Girl Recipes and Survival Strategies for Guilt Free Eating in the Real World. I quickly wrote down the website and began investigating over the weekend. Hungry Girl is Lisa Lillien. She isn’t a doctor or a nutritionist. She’s just a regular girl like the rest of us, struggling with her weight, eating healthy, and wanting food that tastes good and satisfies. She does weight watchers and most of her recipies also have points attached. Her website rocks! She has several sections: News, Chew the Right Thing, Ask Hungry Girl, Weekly Weigh In, and Girl’s Bite Out. The Weekly Weigh In is a place for HG to weigh in on current trends, etc. The News section was great fun. It is full of all kinds of information and cool stuff like the ropeless jump rope. Chew the right thing is full of recipes. You will find the usual recipe as well as the good for you recipe complete with nutrition information and points. They are side by side in columns for easy comparison. I can’t wait to get back to Wal-Mart to purchase the book. If you are interested you can also find it online at Amazon, Barnes&Noble, and Books-A-Million. I recommend checking out this website!
