Betsy McCall Paper Dolls

Aren’t these perfectly lovely! I found them while perusing Craftzine. They span from 1951 to 1961 and many are available for free download. I just love paper dolls and these are wonderful and delightful. You can find them by clicking here. Have fun and dream big!

  1. OMG! My mom used to get McCall’s magazine and I would wait each month for it to arrive so I could cut out my Betsy McCall doll and clothes. I just loved them! Do kids even know what paper dolls are anymore?

Betsy! When I was little (early 50s) we would visit my grandmother every summer. She lived “in the country” near Quinlan in NE Texas. We would spend a week or two or sometimes longer. Grandmama got McCall’s magazine and saved all of them. My sister and I couldn’t wait to go through the last year’s issues and get all the Betsy McCalls! That produced hours and hours of fun as we cut them out and played with them. Your article brought back such wonderful memories! Thank you!
