The Ice Queen by Alice Hoffman

The Ice Queen
by Alice Hoffman

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was a beautiful book about dealing with loss and learning to feel. The main character lost her mother as a child and became the Ice Queen. She protected herself from further pain by keeping people at arm’s length. After being struck by lightening, she meets a fellow strike survivor who becomes an integral part of her journey. Miss Hoffman has a beautiful writing style. I look forward to reading more of her work.

  1. I think I have this one around here somewhere. I’ve enjoyed the few Hoffman books I’ve read.
