Audrey Favorites

The other day while perusing my favorite blogs, I found a lovely poem on A Red Lipstick. It is said to be Audrey Hepburn’s favorite poem. I simply love and adore Audrey Hepburn. I am most definitely one of her biggest fans. I simply had to share the poem with you as well as my favorite picture of Audrey. I hope you will like the poem. It has a wonderful message. One which we should all take to heart. The truly important things in life can’t be measured by dollars and cents.

For attractive lips,
Speak words of kindness.

For lovely eyes,
Seek out the good in people.

For a slim figure,
Share your food with the hungry.

For beautiful hair,
Let a child run his or her fingers through it once a day.

For poise,
Walk with the knowledge you’ll never walk alone.

People, even more than things,
have to be restored, renewed,
revived, reclaimed, and redeemed;
Never throw out anybody.

Remember,
If you ever need a helping hand,
you’ll find one at the end of your arm.
