A Medieval Castle in the Ozark Mountains

About 30 miles south of Branson, MO and just outside of Lead Hill, Arkansas a medieval castle is being built. Michel Guyot started a similar project 12 years ago in France. He’s come to Arkansas to bring us an amazing experience. The castle is being constructed using only authentic tools and methods. It will take 20 years to complete. The public may come and visit with the workers, artisans, and crafts people. Guests will see and learn about the history of castles and life in the Middle Ages and even recieve a stone-cutting lesson. As a lover of history and renaissance faires, this has me super excited! I can’t wait to visit! You can keep up with the castle’s progress through its blog. Just click here! Visit the website to learn more about Mr. Guyot, the artisans involved and touring information by clicking here.
